This edition of Office 2016 Standard is intended primarily for terminal server and Remote Desktop environments. Office is installed once centrally on the server, and your employees work with it via Remote Desktop from the office or from home.

Available from three licences: you receive a licence for exactly the number you purchased. Private use is also possible, but the focus is on terminal server installations.

Office 2016 or a newer version?

Office 2016 has been in use in offices, practices and public administration for many years. The interface is familiar, the programs run smoothly even on older computers, and if you work in a team with colleagues who also use Office 2016, you have the same menus and functions everywhere. Office 2016 is also one of the most affordable ways to use a full Microsoft Office without a subscription.

If you need newer features such as XLOOKUP or dynamic arrays in Excel, choose Office 2021 or Office 2024. The DOCX, XLSX and PPTX file formats have remained the same since Office 2007, so documents can be exchanged between versions without any problems.

Microsoft 365 costs money again every year. You pay for Office 2016 once, and the programs stay on your computer permanently. Are the client access licences (CALs) included?

No. Client access licences for Windows Server and Remote Desktop are ordered separately.
