You receive a perpetual licence for one Windows PC. This edition is account-bound: you redeem the key once in your Microsoft account. Project is a standalone program and does not require Office to be installed.

If you plan alone and without a project server, Project 2024 Standard is often enough. You will find all editions in the category Project 2024. For process diagrams, Visio 2024 is a good fit.

An example from practice

A trade business is planning the fit-out of an office building. The site manager creates the trades as summary tasks, enters durations and dependencies and assigns the crews as resources. If the drywall work is delayed by three days, Project immediately shows which follow-on work shifts and whether the handover date still holds. The timeline goes into the site meeting as an image.

Can I open plans from other Project versions?

Yes. Project 2024 uses the same .mpp format as versions 2013 to 2024 and also opens older plans.

Can I use Project for business?

Is there Project for Mac?

No, Microsoft only offers Project for Windows.

Can I exchange the licence?
