How to order
- Choose the quantity you need – at least three.
- You receive a licence for exactly the number you purchased.
- Install Office on the terminal server and activate it with the key supplied.
Advantages of a central installation
- One installation for everyone: Office is set up and maintained only on the server.
- Work from anywhere: access via Remote Desktop from the office and home office.
- Keep using older devices: the computing power comes from the server.
- Data stays central: documents are stored on the server and backed up together.
For access, your users additionally need Windows Server licences as well as client access licences (CALs) for Windows Server and Remote Desktop.
Office 2013 or a newer version?
Office 2013 introduced the simple, flat interface that is still the basis of all Office versions today. If you are used to it or still use templates, macros and databases from that time in the office, you can carry on working with Office 2013 without having to adjust. The programs are lean and run quickly even on older computers.
If you need newer features such as XLOOKUP or dynamic arrays in Excel, choose Office 2021 or Office 2024. The DOCX, XLSX and PPTX file formats have remained the same since Office 2007, so documents can be exchanged between versions without any problems.
Buy once instead of subscribing
Microsoft 365 costs money again every year. You pay for Office 2013 once, and the programs stay on your computer permanently. If you mainly write letters, maintain spreadsheets and create presentations, this gives you a full Microsoft Office at a very low price – with no contract term, no notice periods and no forced cloud use. You save your files as usual locally, on your network or with a cloud provider of your choice.
