Kofax Power PDF Advanced 5.1

Power PDF Advanced is a fully fledged PDF editor for anyone who does more than just read PDFs and creates, edits, converts and signs them every day. In many offices, law firms and public authorities the program is the alternative to Adobe Acrobat, and its big advantage is the licensing model: you buy Power PDF once and pay no subscription.

Kofax now belongs to Tungsten Automation, which is why the manufacturer calls the program “Tungsten Power PDF”. The features and licence are identical.

What you can do with Power PDF Advanced

• Create PDFs from Word, Excel, PowerPoint, emails, web pages or straight from the scanner
• Edit text and images as in a word processor; insert, delete, rotate and rearrange pages
• Convert PDFs into editable Word, Excel or PowerPoint files with the layout preserved
• Text recognition (OCR) makes scanned pages searchable and copyable
• Redaction: remove confidential content permanently and verifiably, including by search term
• Forms: create, fill in and evaluate data
• Digital signatures: apply and verify
• Security: password protection, permissions and encryption
• Compare: put two versions of a document side by side and highlight the changes

Advanced or Standard?

Power PDF Standard covers creating and editing. Advanced is aimed at businesses, law firms and public authorities and also offers extended security, redaction and comparison features. Advanced is also approved for use in Remote Desktop environments.

• Operating system: Windows 11, Windows 10 or Windows 8.1 (32- and 64-bit); a 64-bit system is required for digital signatures with SignDoc
• Server: Windows Server 2022, 2019, 2016 and 2012 R2

• Memory: at least 1 GB RAM
• Hard disk: 1 GB of free space for the program files
• Other: sound card for the read-aloud feature (optional), internet for download and activation

No, it is a perpetual licence. You pay once and use version 5.1 with no time limit.

Can I set Power PDF as my default PDF program?

Yes. Power PDF can be set as the default program for PDF files and adds buttons to Word, Excel and Outlook.

May I use Power PDF for business?

Yes, Power PDF Advanced is intended for business use.

Is Power PDF available for the Mac?

This licence is for Windows. There is a separate edition for the Mac.
